Fat plant for your Home!

New post dedicated to design gifts for the home: the fake cactus that doesn't sting!

Premise: I love plants, especially fat ones, but I can not take care of them in the slightest. Also I live in a small apartment with a cat that particularly loves to savor everything he sees! That's why the plants in my house are all placed in strategic positions, unapproachable, so much so that I too forget!
But I found a solution!

A fake cactus! But not plastic (which in my opinion is very sad), but made from stones!.
Why give a fake cactus made with our hands?

• It does not need any kind of treatment and lasts forever (unless you have a cat like mine)
• It is colorful and of design (I do not know why but the cacti are fashion)
• It is original
• It does not take up too much space

The material you need is as follows:

• Stones with an oblong shape and some rounded ones (the dimensions are good if they are different)
• Gravel
• A brush
• Acrylic colors of three or more shades of green
• A vase of the material you prefer, as long as it is rigid
• White acrylic marker

METHOD:

1. With the acrylic colors and the brush colored the stones and once dry go to decorate them with the white marker drawing the fake thorns of the cactus.
2. The next step will be to fill the vase with the gravel. If you intend to decorate the vase as in the picture, you will just need to give some uneven brushstroke to the vase with the color you prefer!
3. Once the stones and the vase are dry, add the gravel to the bottom of the container to make weight until it reaches the surface. Then place the stones and make sure they are fixed in the gravel.

You have completed your fake cactus!
